Garbage & Bear Safety

Please do not leave trash or anything smelly outside, as the bears will make a mess of it. You are welcome to place all of your trash in our "Bear Proof" dumpster located in the front of our property. The code to the dumpster is 1234.

Altitude Sickness

Altitude sickness occurs when your body doesn't have time to adjust properly to lower oxygen availability at higher elevations. Symptoms include feeling light-headed, nausea, headache, fatigue, trouble sleeping, and vision changes.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, we highly recommend drinking a lot of water and keeping your body hydrated. There is a Walmart located in Woodland Park (10 minutes away) which sells oxygen cans. In severe cases, we recommend driving down to Colorado Springs where the elevation is lower.

We recommend booking an appointment at Elevation Hydration located in Colorado Springs. They offer IV Hydration Therapy to help eliminate altitude sickness.
