During Your Stay
Parking and Access
The driveway has a space designated for you in front of the "Rockies Ranch" parking sign. Please park as far to the right as possible (especially if you have two vehicles).
Very important! You booked Rockies Ranch, which is up the stairs on the left. There is a basement studio that is a separate unit. Please do not disturb this rental by going down the stone walkway, or approaching the door.
The key code to your front door is in your check-in instructions message.
Garbage: Please do not leave trash or anything smelly outside, as the bears will make a mess of it. You are more than welcome to place all of your trash in our "Bear Proof" dumpster located in the front of our property.
Thermostat: Please leave the thermostat between 55-75 degrees. The whole house humidifier will run even when the thermostat isn't on. When you check out, please turn the thermostat down to 60 degrees. Thank you!
Hot Tub: We all want super clean water, so please shower without soap before use and wipe any debris off your feet before getting in. Please keep the lid on and clipped when not in use. We also ask that you empty in one chemical cup directly into the hot tub filter before each use.
Television and Smart Speaker: The Smart TV can be used with HDMI to your personal device or through digital platform (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, or whatever you have subscriptions for). Please make sure to log out of all of your accounts on your checkout day.
If you want to connect to just the speaker for music, use your device to connect with Apple Airplay (this is not a Bluetooth device).
Altitude Sickness
Altitude sickness occurs when your body doesn't have time to adjust properly to lower oxygen availability at higher elevations. Some symptoms include feeling light headed, nausea, headache, fatigue, trouble sleeping, and vision changes.
If you are feeling any of these symptoms, we highly recommend drinking a lot of water and keeping your body hydrated. There is a Walmart located in Woodland Park (10 minutes away) which sells oxygen cans. In severe cases, we recommend driving down to Colorado Springs where the elevation is lower than up in the mountains.
We recommend booking an appointment at Elevation Hydration located in Colorado Springs. They offer IV Hydration Therapy to help eliminate altitude sickness.
